+------------------------------------------------+
|      INSTALLATION PROCEDURE FOR OS2 USERS     |
+--------------------------------------------------

This simple OS/2 batch program will allow you the user to
run Jip using Java 1.42 regardless of what version of Java is running
in the rest of the system.

Pre-Installation:
Make sure you have Java runtime or Java sdk installed on your PC.
You can download one from ;
http://www.innotek.de/index_g_e.html or http://www.goldencode.com

1.
==
Download JipXt.zip and unzip it into a directory. Example a folder JipXt.

2.
==
In the Jip Folder you will find a sub folder "guide" under guide another folder
OS2. Copy the two files Jip.CMD and RUN.CMD (if you want to run Graphical) or Jip_C.CMD and RUNC.CMD
(if you want to run command Line or the utility file) from the folder OS2 into the Jip main directory.
In all it's like this "Jip Folder/guide/os2" copy the files Jip.CMD and RUN.CMD
(for Graphical) or Jip_C.CMD and RUNC.CMD (for command Line or console helper file)into Jip directory.

2.1
===
Edit the file RUN.CMD to include the path where you installed Java.
Example The contents of the RUN.CMD is; JIP.CMD C:\Java142 .
Edit the C:\Java142 to the path and/or folder of your
Java runtime. Let's say you installed Java on D:\Java142. The RUN.CMD becomes
JIP.CMD D:\Java142

DO NOT FORGET TO EDIT YOUR RUNNABLE FILE NAME TOO. If your file is JIPAL.jar, edit jip.jar to JIPAL.jar
in the CMD file. (see readme file)

2.2
===
you can also use the script run_java from http://hobbes.nmsu.edu/cgi-bin/h-search?key=run_java

You can now run JIP by dobble clicking of RUN.CMD or put it on start to run the
program on boot.
